The Newcastle Community Arts Centre
As a fitting gesture (by the Ed), our first post is about the Newcastle Community Arts Centre, in Hamilton East. Located at 246 Parry St West (the forgotten part of Parry St), the NCAC is definately an established, but hidden jewel within the Hunter.
Administrated by the wonderful and effervescent Wendy Peacock, the NCAC is home to artisits from all walks of life. Within its walls it houses collectable domestic and International artists, including Annmarie Murland, Pablo Tapia, Suzanna Rodriguez and the popular Strutt Sisters... to name but a few.
At the other end of its broad spectrum of depth, the NCAC offers classes to all members of the general public, from Photography to Figure drawing and even the harmonica.
For more information visit their WEBPAGE and widen your own artisitc horizons, even if it's only to visit one of the many yearly exhibitions in its very own Arts Space.
